Shopify or WooCommerce: which should I choose?
Shopify is simple, very reliable and ideal for getting started quickly. WooCommerce offers more freedom and avoids a monthly subscription, but needs a little more maintenance. We recommend one or the other depending on your situation.
Is Shopify suitable for a shop in Switzerland?
Yes. Shopify handles Swiss francs, Swiss VAT and the main payment methods, including TWINT through a compatible payment provider. We set up delivery, taxes and payments for your Swiss customers.
How do I add TWINT to my shop?
TWINT is activated through a compatible payment provider (for example Payrexx, Datatrans or Wallee). We choose the right solution and configure everything.
How do I handle Swiss VAT?
We configure the current rates (8.1%, or 2.6% for certain products), prices shown including VAT and compliant invoices. Your accountant stays in charge of the bookkeeping.
Can I sell in Switzerland and the European Union?
Yes. We set up delivery zones, shipping costs and customs information. For large volumes to the EU, we point you towards the right tax solutions. To make the shop known from the day it opens, we can also run your Google Ads campaigns.
